Poetry, an emotion on paper

Short piece of imaginative writing, of a personal nature and laid out in lines is a usual understanding of what poetry is. Poetry expresses the appropriate combination of meaning and emotion.
For Lovleen Baidwan Sohi, poetry is no different poetry. For her poetry is a best alternative medium to put her emotions on paper. Lovleen, who recently got her book “MUSIC FOR EYES” published used to pen down her emotions and feelings as it relieved her of the pain and added joy to her happiness and also reducing sorrow and multiplied her joy.

Lovleen began writing poetry in class 4th, but caught interest and collectively pen down her skill in class 11th. Though, Lovleen started poetry so as to pass her free time, but as her progressed, poetry for her became as a best source to express herself, a medium to put her emotions on paper.

Lovleen, who got inspiration from every little thing, did not really feel that something inspired her into poetry. Her couragement is her friends who read and praise her verses, and strengthen her to continue writing. But when alone, pen and paper is Lovleen’s friend.

On being ask, why the poet girl (Lovleen) chose poetry, she confidently replied that poetry was what that laid inside her. “It is probably what was inside me that came out. Moreover, poetry is earlier to describe in words and to pen down what a person wants to highlight, while the others has a wider description and at times at author usually goes away from the subject.

Lovleen write for people who she loves and whatever she felt I certain situations, but most of all she wrote poetry about thoughts and feelings which she could not share it with anyone, whatever Lovleen has in her heart it was in her poetry.

With a lot of couragement, Lovleen at last thought of putting together her poetry into a book, but initially she was disheartened as she was told it was not an easy job to publish a poetry books. But as god had his own good plans, she lately founded a publisher, “Unistar Publishers”.

“Music For eyes” is a book containing 51 poems which are close to her heart, which gives a deep insight into Lovleen’s personality and life and are completely true and pure feelings.
Lovleen’s poems are like long stories coloured with rhyme and rhytm, which her heart holds and want to share with somebody. Lovleen, a BA final year student of MCM DAV, College, Sector 36 cannot categorise her poems under one theme because every poem is different for her, in which this young energetic poet has tried talking to God through her poems. An urge to meet God and understand the way of life can be felt in her poems.
Lovleen, who truly believe that there is a right time for everything in life and God is a great architect, who designs your life beautifully and even makes you experience every emotion.
“ life is a roller coaster ride where you get to experience everything what you even can't imagine, so these poems which I wrote as a teenager depict my ride of ups and downs of life”, opines Lovleen.
“Writing this book gave me immense pleasure which cannot be compared with any materialistic happiness, nothing can buy me the happiness that I felt when took the published book in my hand. I am glad that god blessed me with the talent of writing poetry”, she adds.
Lovleen is in high spirits to make her parents proud of her, and she wish to make them feel proud again and again.

About her future plans, Lovleen disclosed that she night come up with a book on her thoughts, her philosophical ideas, novels, as for this is not an end, but a beginning. “It is just a starting; I have a long way to go. With Gods grace I have achieve great heights, but still have to achieve a lot”, says the young writer with a smile on her face and high goals to accomplished in her eyes.
